Amazon’s Manish Tiwary Takes Over as Nestlé India CMD Today

Tiwary takes the helm at a time when Nestlé is navigating commodity volatility, evolving consumer preferences, and strong momentum across its food and beverage portfolio.

Nestlé India has announced the appointment of Manish Tiwary as the new Chairman and Managing Director, effective August 1, 2025, following the retirement of Suresh Narayanan.

Tiwary, who served as Vice President and Country Manager of Amazon India, brings with him over two decades of experience in consumer-centric leadership, digital transformation, and retail strategy. He is expected to steer Nestlé India into its next phase of growth amid rising demand from both urban and urban markets.

Sharing in a LinkedIn post today, Tiwary said, " As I begin my journey as the Market Head for NESTLÉ South Asia Region (SAR) – a role steeped in responsibilities, emotions, and legacy, I reflect on its sanctity – an honor and commitment in equal parts. I stand on a path paved by my predecessors – leaders who led with courage, compassion and conviction."

Indutry experts believe, with his deep understanding of Indian consumer behaviour and modern retail formats, Tiwary is well-positioned to accelerate Nestlé’s omnichannel and innovation-led agenda.

Industry watchers expect Tiwary to:

  • Strengthen Nestlé’s e-commerce and quick commerce channels.
  • Expand premium and functional nutrition portfolios.
  • Deepen rural and semi-urban distribution.
  • Foster innovation in sustainability and product personalization.

Tiwary takes the helm at a time when Nestlé is navigating commodity volatility, evolving consumer preferences, and strong momentum across its food and beverage portfolio.

His appointment signals Nestlé’s commitment to driving agile, future-forward leadership in a rapidly changing FMCG landscape.
