Rohit Jawa, Managing Director and CEO of Hindustan Unilever Ltd (HUL), will step down after a 37-year career with Unilever, during which he held leadership roles across eight countries, including key markets such as India and China.
Jawa, who took over as HUL's CEO in June 2023, called it a “fulfilling career” and said he plans to explore new professional opportunities. He will be succeeded by Priya Nair, a Unilever veteran with over three decades at the company.
Jawa began his journey with HUL as a management trainee in 1988 and worked across India, Southeast Asia, and North Asia.
Meanwhile, HUL reported a 6% year-on-year rise in consolidated net profit for the June 2025 quarter at INR 2,768 crore, driven by lower tax expenses and strong volume-led growth.
Revenue for the quarter rose 5% to INR 16,323 crore, with underlying volume growth at 4% and underlying sales growth at 5%, the company said in its stock exchange filing.
